TROPHY OF TRADITION First presented at a luncheon on April 19th 1971 by HRH Princess Alexandra and the Hon Angus Ogilvy The award recognises their visit to the Club and is awarded annually to the nurse who “best exemplifies the Spirit of Nursing as embodied in the Code of Ethics of Nurses” The trophy is a silver bowl suitably inscribed with the name of each recipient. A permanent medal and a cheque for $2000 are also presented. The Vocational Services Committee liaises with the management of nurses at the Auckland Hospital who have the responsibility for selection.
