Le Rotary E-Club 9920 Francophone recently completed a project to help a community of 30,000 people with a new reservoir that will provide a constant water supply for agriculture, and most importantly, clean drinking water for their own needs.

Le Rotary E-Club 9920 Francophone (D.9920, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands) has participated as Secondary International Partner, and as Fundraising Coordinator, to a USD 100,000 Rotary Foundation Global Grant project.  This was to build a “Reservoir” for the community in Chaiprakarn (Northern Thailand).

The reservoir enables a constant water for agriculture with the water flowing directly from the nearby mountains.  In addition, this provides clean drinking water through a filtration system not only for their own needs but also to make the project sustainable by selling the drinking water at a very reasonable price to others in surrounding communities.

The Host Partner was the Rotary Club de Chaiprakan (D.3360), helped by the Rotary Club of Patumwan(D.3350), the International Primary Partner being the Rotary Club of Eui-Ryeong (D.3590, Korea)

So many Rotary Clubs and Districts have joined this GG Project proving once more that E-Clubs, not only are they "not virtual", but also are real Rotary Clubs capable of raising funds due to their internationality.
