The Rotary Club of Suva Peninsular joined hands with an incredible network of partners—including Westpac Fiji, Leadership Fiji, and our passionate Rotaractors—for a meaningful mangrove planting adventure on Serua Island.

Together, we planted over 1,000 mangrove seedlings, contributing to the protection of our coastlines and the restoration of vital marine ecosystems. It was a day filled with purpose, and the beauty of nature—wading through shallow waters, walking from one island to another during low tide, enjoying good food prepared by the villagers, and appreciating the incredible role mangroves play in sustaining life.

And because we are overachievers we also stopped at a kindergarten and school on the way to donate some goods and scope for a possible future project with them.

A big vinaka vakalevu to everyone who showed up with boots on, spade in their hands and hearts open.

Here’s to creating ripples of positive change—one seedling at a time
