The end of the Rotary year on 30 June is a time of celebration in Rotary clubs throughout New Zealand and the Pacific.

It is a time to celebrate the successes of the year just completed and to welcome in the opportunities of the new year ahead.  Clockwise above is a snapshot of what Changeover includes:

St Johns Rotary held an evening event for over 90 members, partners and family to the theme of "colour" which is well illustrated by Megan on the right.  At Auckland Harbourside Rotary's evening they celebrated some of their many successes by presenting Cure Kids with $67,000 towards their medical research for children.  Any celebration includes entertainment and at Highbrook Rotary's Changeover this was provided by a school they support.

This is a chance to specifically thank the many who make significant contributions to their club and community and for some standout people this is expressed in a variety of ways such as the giving of flowers or maybe a Paul Harris Fellow Award.  Finally, Changeover is when those who have served as officers in the club are thanked and in the way of Rotary 'changeover' their roles to those incoming to those roles - some may continue and some may be new, particularly the role of President changes as shown here with Papatoetoe Central Rotary at its special evening attended by over 200.

Congratulations to all on a successful 2018-2019 Rotary year and best wishes for an equally amazing year ahead.
