World Community Service

Purpose:

To encourage initiatives from Clubs in World Community Service projects to improve the lives and meet the needs of the disadvantaged, with particular emphasis on the Pacific.

Goals:

  • To promote and assist clubs with World Community Service projects.
  • To encourage Rotary programmes such as Emergency Response Kits, and Donations in Kind for our Pacific neighbours. 
  • To promote the Rotary medical projects Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children  and Interplast.
  • To provide emphasis on clean water, low cost housing and cooking facilities, food cultivation, and literacy projects.
  • To encourage and assist clubs to utilise sources of funds for international projects.
  • To promote the initiatives of our national community service agency Rotary New Zealand World Community Service Limited and its activities.
  • To co-ordinate applications for funding from the New Zealand Aid Program.
  • To promote projects in Pacific Countries for Rotary FAIM teams.
  • To promote District Community Service projects
